About

This is my digital garden, a place to publish, collect and connect things I’m interested in. In this particular case, it’s a certain slice of American culture.

My approach to research these self-taught- and outsider subjects is, as well, self-taught. The same is true for my English language skills, so don’t wonder about weird phrasing. Also, if you hear me speak English, I probably sound like Werner Herzog.

Some Thoughts About Religion

My work here is neither scientific nor theological. I’m more interested in the cultural aspects of the topics.

I am opposed to any fundamentalist Christian movement, influencing American (and thus global) politics. Religion and spirituality have a place, but not in classrooms, courtrooms or in governments. Faith is a choice, and a moral compass, which can be derived from any holy or humanist book.
