Harrison Mayes Roadside Cross (current location unknown)
This marker was standing till a road expansion in the late nineties and was then moved to a private residency. This cross is supposed to be placed on planet Venus.

Update 2022-04-29: The cross changed locations again. According to Brent Davis, the author of the story, the former owner of the cross asked Davis for help finding a new location. Davis approached several churches, but none of them were receptive, fearing it could “send the wrong message.” The former owner offered that Davis could take the cross if he doesn’t find a place. When he attempted to arrange the move, Davis found out that the former owner has died and the cross was sold to someone who put it on their private property. So, it’s still out there, somewhere.
