Update on subscriptions to this website
TL;DR – posts are now all publicly accessible. Subscription is just for notification.
It was brought to my attention, that subscribing to this website, didn’t unlock the extra “membership” content. I’m sorry about that.
I misunderstood the WordPress Newsletter/Membership functionality. I thought if you subscribe, you get an email for every new post and see “exclusive” content (which was the full album embedded on the website). It looks like I have to set up a paid membership for this functionality, and I have no interest in dealing with that (not worth it, paid subscriptions suck).
The last posts in the music category should be fully accessible now (it’s most of the time a YouTube Video embed at the end of the page).
Sorry for the confusion. Please don’t hesitate to unsubscribe if you don’t want an email, every time I post here. Alternatively, there is still the good old RSS feed to subscribe to!
If you wonder why there was “Members Only” content in the first place?
- I wanted to try out that functionality. How to operate my own website on the public web with a small community that gets updates every time a new post goes up.
- Social media sucks and even if it’s easier to follow someone, the content is getting lost in a black hole, so I figured posting on my own WordPress blog and giving people the convenience to subscribe via email is the easiest way. And in exchange for trusting me with your email address, I thought I give back by adding some “exclusive” content (like full album posts).
For questions, feel free to send an email (see footer). Also, I’m happy to trade mp3 of full album transfers!
