About

This is my digital garden, a place to publish, collect and connect things I’m interested in. In this particular case, it’s a certain slice of American culture.

My approach to research about self-taught- and outsider subjects is, as well, self-taught. The same is true for my English language skills.

Some Thoughts About Religion

My work here is neither scientific nor theological. I’m more interested in the cultural aspects of the topics.

I am completely opposed to fundamentalist Christian movements influencing American (and thus global) politics. Religion and spirituality have a place, but not in classrooms or courtrooms. Faith is a choice, and a moral compass, which can be derived from any holy or humanist book. As a society, we adhere to a set of moral principles that every human being follows, regardless of their belief system.
